Working with Policy

I can apply knowledge, theories and models of policy processes to specific policy contexts. In doing so I can identify relevant policy stakeholders and differences in interest and power between them for specified policy production.

I have demonstrable skills in being able to critically evaluate and use information from a range of sources including academic texts, policy documents and government reports.  I am skilled in engaging critically with policy-making, and in navigating policy in higher education.

I have an understanding of contemporary theories of policy making with an applied focus on policy research and evaluation. This extends to the contexts and challenges of education policy, different policy models and processes, stakeholder interests and the impact of government policies on opportunities for learning.

I have integrated implications from research in my professional area which has led to a broader understandings of citizenship.
